MERSCOPE by Vizgen

Our MERSCOPE platform, manufactured by Vizgen, uses MERFISH (multiplexed error-robust FISH) technology to profile gene expression across whole tissue sections. The 100nm resolution allows subcellular resolution of transcriptional networks. The maximum imaging area per experiment is 1 cm2. Up to 500 genes can be multiplexed, and probes can be developed for any transcript. The MERFISH technology allows unparalleled sensitivity and identifies 70x more transcripts per gene than standard FISH.


Each experiment includes a DAPI, poly-A, and optional cell boundary stain to aid downstream cell segmentation. We offer bioinformatics services to perform cell segmentation, as well as common analyses including: cell phenotyping, cell-cell interactions, and cell neighborhood analysis. We also offer support for custom analyses.
